GEO: ranking in ChatGPT and in AI answers

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the work of getting ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI summaries to name and link you when someone asks about what you sell. It is SEO for the answers, not the results.

More and more expensive purchases start with a question to an assistant: which agency to hire, which clinic to choose, which software to compare. The assistant doesn't show ten links; it answers with two or three names. Being among them depends on what the AI has read about you and on whether your site can be quoted.

GEO doesn't replace SEO: it builds on it. Assistants query the search engine, read the best-ranked pages and quote the ones that answer clearly. That's why we work on it alongside SEO, not as a separate trick.

What we do

Your clients' questions

We list the questions your client asks an assistant before buying and measure who shows up in the answers today.

Content that can be quoted

Pages that answer in the first sentence, with a table, a published figure and a named author: what assistants prefer to quote.

Structured data and llms.txt

Organisation, services, author and FAQs marked up for machines, and a summary of your site for language models.

Mentions beyond your site

Directories, best-of lists and trade media: AI recommends the businesses others name.

Tracking by question

Every week, those questions in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google: whether you appear, in what place and who gets named instead of you.

Why now

Searches for "seo geo" in Spain went from about 110 a month to about 590 between October 2025 and September 2026, according to SE Ranking. Interest is growing faster than supply: showing up in an answer costs less today than it will once all your competitors work on it.

What we can show today

GEO is a new channel and we don't publish client results yet: we only claim what a published case backs up. We apply it to our own site, with the same question tracking we offer, and on top of the SEO of clients whose cases are published.

How to optimise your site for LLMs

An opinion, signed

When someone asks ChatGPT which agency to hire, they don't see ten results: they see two or three names. Being in that answer or not will matter as much as being on Google's first page, and almost nobody measures it yet. That's why we measure it on our own site before selling it.

GEO FAQs

Generative Engine Optimization: the work of getting AI assistants, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google's AI summaries, to name and quote you when someone asks about what you sell.

No, but they depend on each other. SEO aims for a click in the list of results; GEO, for a mention inside the answer. Assistants read the pages the search engine ranks, so without SEO, GEO has nowhere to start.

With a list of the questions your clients ask and weekly tracking of the answers in each assistant: whether you appear, in what place and whether you are linked.

Assistants that search the web live, such as Perplexity or Google's AI summaries, react within weeks. Models that learn from what is published take months. That's why it is worked on alongside SEO.

We don't publish client results yet: the channel is new and we only claim what a published case backs up. We measure it on our own site with the same tracking we offer.

A file at the root of your site that summarises for language models who you are, what you sell and which pages to read first. It isn't an official standard, but it is cheap to make and more and more tools read it.
